Picking a service yard is one of the most important
decisions you will make for your boat and yourself. You can make the
right decision and have
a great experience with which you will be pleased, We appreciate the customer who takes the time to come to our boat yard and visits with us. That person will see the facilities, meet the personnel and look at the type of work that we do on a regular basis. Since you will not be overseeing the work to be done on your boat, you must leave your yacht in the care and custody of a yard you can trust to perform to your expectations. Training is one of the most important things we do for our employees and management. We have ABYC certified electrical and fiberglas technicians, our lift operator is ABBRA certified for the marine straddle lift, our electronics techs are Raymarine trained, and we provide continuing education in all facets of marine related repair and maintenance for all our employees. The Sailor's Wharf is celebrating over 25 years of service and has earned a reputation for quality work. We have the best Awlgrip paint crew on the Florida West Coast, having painted such boats as the Helsen Signature 47 "Jade"; Bill Whitmore's 70', high tech cruising yacht "Route 66"; "September Song" and "Cumbia", both Irwin 54's; "Orient Express" and hundreds more.
Commissioning has been a staple of the Sailor's Wharf boat yard. Whether a new boat or a boat that is moving from the Great Lakes or the West Coast to Florida, we have provided every type of commissioning available. We can prepare boats for shipment almost anywhere in the world. We understand the consequences of taking a boat offshore; we have been there ourselves. Some of our employees have ocean raced for years, some have been crew on fishing boats, and some own their own boats and go boating on a regular basis.
